Young sports award for Eamonn Wallace

At the presentation of the Meath Chronicle/Cusack Hotel Group Young Sportsperson of the Year were Meath Chronicle editor Ken Davis, Evanne Ni Chuilinn, Eamonn Wallace, Celtic Media Group CEO Frank Mulrennan and Denise Cusack.

Ratoath AC's Eamonn Wallace was named Meath's Young Sportsperson of the Year at last Friday's Meath Sports awards in Trim.

The Ratoath teenager scooped the award at the sixth annual Meath Chronicle / Cusack Hotel Group annual presentations.

The other two nominees in the category were Kiltale minor hurler Jack Regan and Parkvilla FC goalkeeper Ross Treacy.

Wallace won the national u-19 100 metres and 200 metres titles and also featured for his local GAA club winning a MFC title and adult titles in the JFC and Tailteann Cup.
