
1,252,117 in Sports Grants to clubs and organisations in county Meath were included in Saturday's announcement by the Minister of State with special responsibility for Sport, Michael Ring TD.
In all, twenty-five sports clubs in the county will receive grants.
Dunshaughlin GAA club are the recipients of the largest grant in Meath, having been awarded 145,000. Ashbourne Rugby Club also received a large grant at 100,000.
Other local clubs awarded funding under the scheme were 1st Meath Dunboyne Scout Group (20,000), Curragha Tennis Club (25,000), Ratoath Gaa Club (65,000) and St Pauls GFC (2,000).
County Meath received the third highest allocation of Sports Capital Grants, after Dublin and Cork. Per head of population, Meath clubs were awarded 6.80, the highest level of funding nationally.
