Brown bins rolled out across Ashbourne

There will be an information evening at Donaghmore Ashbourne GAA on Wednesday, 30th April, at 4.00pm, on the roll-out of the Brown bins in the town this summer.

Meath County Council will facilitate event and will be giving away free compost, so please bring along bags if you wish to avail of this.

Residents will now be required to seperate food and garden waste from other household waste due to the Household Food Waste and Bio-Waste Regulations signed into law in February 2013.

Thorntons Recycling have said they will supply Brown bins free of charge to customers and there will be a fee €4.50 per collection. If you pay anually for Green and Black bins then the Brown bins will be included at the same annual cost.
